Welcome to the first website for the Boroughbridge Bowls Club.
The Club was founded in 1984 and currently has (approx)35 members. We are affiliated to the Yorkshire County Bowling Association.
We can be found on Aldborough Road Boroughbridge, next to the towns football, tennis and cricket grounds.
We offer a warm welcome to anyone who would like to join us either as a member or a visitor. We can provide equipment and tuition if required at no cost initially.
Whilst we are involved in League games, we enjoy a lot of Friendly matches with other clubs in the district, at which we encourage our less experienced players to join in and learn the basics of Match play.Following these matches we usually have a social supper where everyone gets to know the visiting teams.
We would welcome more applicants to our club and look forward to enquiries from any interested parties. Why not contact the club secretary now or come along to our (advertised) Open Day? We also welcome any beginners on a sunday afternoon, when weather permitting, there should usually be someone at the club house to show you around.
Boroughbridge Bowls Club competes during the Outdoor Flat Green Bowls Season (May till september) and currently enters teams into the following leagues:
